Touching something in a museum gives you cancer?

Touching a museum object once will not immediately destroy it. Everyone who comes to the museum touching the same object will destroy it

Capitalism is all about scarcity. Then exploiting the scarcity. Then creating more scarcity.

Additionally, under capitalism, value is measured in downright nonsensical ways. Cryptocurrency is valuable because… Some rich dudes say it is? Because it’s secure in one really niche way? Musk’s holdings are worth hundreds of billions of dollars because he has a good propaganda machine hyping his garbage? A company’s stock can go to the moon or crash without any of their means of production changing hands or devaluing. Hell, a company can do something detrimental to the economy and its stock will go up. The global capitalist economy is like the Mad Hatter’s tea party but we’re all subjugated by it.

“I watched him for fifteen years, sitting in a room, staring at a wall; not seeing the wall, looking past the wall; looking at this night, inhumanly patient, waiting for some secret, silent alarm to trigger him off. Death has come to your little town, Sheriff.”
