#NeverForget last year when cops attacked participants from NYC Pride and the Queer Liberation March gathering in Washington Square Park. They do this same thing almost every year and yet people still wonder why we want them banned from pride?
They peppersprayed into the crowd without prejudice after hecklers told them to leave. They then used bikes as battering rams to break up the crowd. Numerous queer and trans people were injured.
This isn’t just “a few bad apples.” Hundreds of militarized police participated in the attack. None were disciplined.
