When the Black Panthers in Oakland started carrying to protect Black people, Regan changed open carry laws in California. Maga people only want guns to be used for what they want, violence and intimidation against anyone non-white, queer, or non-Christian. When any of those demographics stand up against the Maga clowns, all of sudden guns have to be regulated. The goalpost will always move inntheir interest to dominate others they hate.

The good news is that for once we can all back the same tactics:
- If you think gun control isn’t the answer: arm marginalized people so they can defend themselves.
- If you think gun control is the answer: arm marginalized people because that is the only thing that actually makes politicians do gun control.
Either case, the answer is: give free guns to trans people.

terf homophobia is part of an ongoing, decades-long campaign to associate all gender nonconformity - including regular cis gays having regular gay sex - with “male violence”.
and since violence needs a victim, they have constructed the idea of a woman to use to this end, the same way conservatives use children: as helpless non-persons, zero-autonomy vessels who have no desires of their own and must be isolated “protected” from the deviance of outside agitators “males”.
they reuse this image over and over again: against sex workers, trans men, comparing gender-affirming care to FGM, etc
they don’t care if any of this shit “falls apart” under scrutiny, any more than a white supremacist does. the obvious falseness is part of the tactic they’re employing
