Without regulation, oversight, and meaningful penalties, capitalism will cut down every tree, poison every body of water, and ruin every environment it touches.
We must replace capitalism. You canβt hope it will do the right thing. It wonβt.
Youβre implying that with those things, this can be prevented, which is neither true nor this personβs intended message. We had those things, once upon a time, and you know what happened? The capitalist class used their money and power to slowly wear away at them until they functionally didnβt exist anymore. If you create new ones, the process will just start over again. Because thatβs whatβs in their class interest to do.
Only with their destruction as a class will the threat be defeated.
