Get to know the blunt-headed burrowing frog (Glyphoglossus molossus)! This amphibian is also known as the balloon frog because of its spherical body shape.🎈🐸🎈
It lives in parts of Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand, where it inhabits forests and wetlands, spending much of its time underground. During breeding season, it comes to the surface and takes advantage of seasonal rain pools to release up to 300 eggs. Unfortunately, the species is threatened due in part to humans catching the frogs for consumption when they come out to breed.

Not all turtles are slow. Meet the Florida softshell turtle (Apalone ferox). This critter is relatively quick on land and is a rapid swimmer thanks to its hydrodynamic, flattened shell, and four strongly-webbed feet. It sticks mostly to water and is equipped with a long neck and snout that pokes above the surface, like a snorkel, to help it breathe.

radioblueheart asked:
There is a horror short film from 2010 directed by Azhur Saleem that might interest you. It is on Vimeo and the director's website. The plot of the film follows a team of soldiers holding a mysterious being captive in an old factory complex. When one of the soldiers asks "What is that?" His commanding officer says "Its a unicorn."
I’m definitely going to need to see this.
For all those interested, and because I completely forgot to add the title in this ask (sleep deprivation), the film is “The Find”.
