(CNN) - California Gov. Gavin Newsom is escalating his feud with Republican-led states that have restricted access to abortion after the Supreme Court’s ruling earlier this summer rolling back the federal right to those services that was enshrined in the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.
As part of his effort to make California a safe harbor for women seeking abortions, Newsom, a Democrat, launched a new state website on Tuesday aimed at connecting women who live out of state with reproductive health care, including a tool that would help them find a provider and how to seek financial assistance for those services.
Pretty much everyone said this would happen. One ticked off parent can throw a tantrum and get any girl investigated because their kid didn’t win. Gross.
Dario Argento’s Dark Glasses’ original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl via Mondo in conjunction with Blackstrobe Records. The score is composed by Arnaud Rebotini (BPM (Beats Per Minute)).
Priced at $40, the double-LP album is pressed on 140-gram blood red with black smoke colored vinyl, limited to 500. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket featuring Federico Mauro’s key art.
Day 14 of 61 Days of Horror takes me to Stuart Gordon’s Castle Freak. This is a collaboration of a lot of folks who made Re-Animator and From Beyond, two of my favorite films. We have Barbara Crampton, Jeffrey Combs and director Stuart Gordon. Sadly, this film isn’t as good as those past efforts but it was also filmed for less than 500K and the director was only given a title and producer Charles Bands’ Italian home to film in.
I just wish I had checked the movie poster on this one before I watched it. Yikes.
