Please explain why plans can demand certain things of patients and others don’t give a shit. That’s right, you can’t explain, because it’s a scam.
The amount of pure bullshit elective surgery that is approved in my clinic alone is insane. Now, multiply that bullshit by 1,200 and you have a LOAD of bullshit that insurance companies are forking over to hospitals. People pay an assload of money to health insurance for it to barely cover the costs of childbirth, trauma, rehab, or end of life care such as nursing homes or assisted living or hospice.
Yes, the bullshit elective surgery provides income to the hospital so they can hire more staff and buy better equipment etc lol but it’s still bullshit.
The nuances of individual insurance plans are a scam and unethical. End of story. For example. In my area, Walmart anthem does not cover X surgery with my hospital. Why? Who knows. The plan only covers X surgery at a hospital 3 hours away lol.
Anyway. I hate health insurance and nurse reviewers and medical directors and medicaid appeals that take 30 days for review
