“Hey, world! Guess what. I’m Michael Myers’ sister! I’m so fucked!”
“He’s the Boogeyman. A ghost story to scare kids. But this Boogeyman is real. An evil like his never stops, it just grows older. Darker.”
“Let him burn! Let him burn!”
“Would you look at this? I mean, a psycho meets a freak show. This is a match made in heaven.”

👻Boo! Say “hi” to the ghost bat (Macroderma gigas).
🦇This critter’s name is a nod to the pale color of its fur. The Australian species lives in a range of habitats such as rainforests, tropical savannas, mangroves, and woodlands. It has a varied diet, preying on reptiles, large insects, small mammals, birds, and frogs. When on the hunt, the carnivore swoops down from above, wraps its meal in its wings, and then bites down on the head and neck.

👹Does Halloween have you feeling as ghoulish as this sea critter?
🐟The bearded ghoul fish (Inimicus didactylus) lurks on the ocean floor in the Indo-Pacific, using its pectoral fins to pull itself along the sand. When hungry, it buries itself beneath the sand and, with its upward-facing eyes, seeks out small fish to ambush. Few animals dare to eat the bearded ghoul, as it can inject a powerful venom via its dorsal spines—which is why this fish is also known as the demon stinger.
