According to Krenzel, he and his team were asked – not by higher-ups at Twitter, but by representatives of a large telecommunications company – to track “when users leave their house, their commute to work, and everywhere they go throughout the day.”
The former Twitter employee said he rejected the absurd request right away. “There was no universe where I was going to help sell granular identifiable user location data,” he said.
However, Krenzel claimed he was then told by Twitter’s legal team that the request was fine and did not violate the user terms of service.
Unsurprisingly, Krenzel eventually resigned from Twitter – as did half of his team. He remembers that already back in 2015 or 2016, the platform “was no longer a place to do good work.”

Analysis of the Brazil elections and Bolsonaro’s reaction -
By Gustavo A. Maranges
While the whole world was celebrating Lula’s victory, Bolsonaro went to sleep and took over 24 hours to make a statement. He did not acknowledge the results or congratulate Lula, as is the tradition. He rather questioned the results, which was interpreted by his supporters as a call to maintain federal highway blockades. Hours later, when chaos had taken over the highways, Bolsonaro made a call to withdraw the blockades, but to maintain the protests.
He intends to keep Brazilian democracy in check, as Trump did in the U.S. Once again, the right wing’s modus operandi remains the same: not recognizing the election results and betting on social disorder and instability to hinder the new government’s work, many calling for the military to step in to fulfill their fantasies.
Of course they dispute the DOJ…the DOJ will require them to follow the all federal rules and requirements and not decide to personally disenfranchise a group of voters.
