My advice to anyone who experiences this situation is to use any and all means at your disposal to get the bigoted doctor or nurse in question fired from their job.
Both because trash like this shouldn’t be allowed to work in the medical community and also because bigots ending up jobless and suffering in poverty is always a delight to see
