It’s just been revealed that Emmy Award-winning creator Genndy Tartakovsky - Samurai Jack, Sym-Bionic Titan - has a new series coming to Adult Swim this fall: PRIMAL.
Here’s the official description according to Variety…
“PRIMAL centers around a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a dinosaur on the brink of extinction.
Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of
survival in a violent, primordial world. The half-hour animated series
will premiere this fall.”
I’m a life long admirer of Tartakovsky’s work which may not come as a surprise to anyone whose been following this blog for awhile now given that Tartakovsky’s art features the same strong angular approach seen in the work of other artists I’ve gushed over like Mike Mignola, Johan Egerkrans and Jack Kirby. And speaking of Kirby, does the plot of PRIMAL not immediately make you think of Devil Dinosaur?
