Birth control is not just for sex, dipshits. (Not saying that it is wrong if that is all you use it for, just acknowledging that this is the “logic” behind this ugly bill.) I am ace af and have been on it for over a decade to manage issues with my period. Issues that are probably caused by PCOS, but since testing for shit like that is expensive as hell, and the end result of putting me on the pill would be the same, I haven’t bothered with getting a formal diagnosis. So yeah. There are women out there this bill would literally kill, and I might be one of them.
the whole point of these arseholes is that they’re trying to push it to a high court challenge. With it stacked with more right wing dickheads, they’re hoping to push it to erode or destroy Roe vs Wade.
