The many forms of lighting. This may be my favorite.
My father was a meteorologist. One of his most fascinating weather stories involved him as a young kid in Ohio. One stormy evening the family was sitting around the living room listening to the radio when a large fiery ball (yes ball lightening!) moved slowly down the steps and headed straight for him, then dodged around him and went out the window.
