WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK.

Marshae Jones was shot in 2018 during an argument. She was 5-months pregnant at the time and the trauma ended the pregnancy. While charges were dropped against the shooter, the survivor, Marshae Jones is now being charged with manslaughter for starting the argument. Black and indigenous women are almost always the first targets of policies that attempt to steal autonomy over their own bodies from women. Marshae is clearly the victim in this situation, yet she now faces a hefty prison sentence for being shot. She is being held on a $50,000 bail. This is absolutely disgusting, and we must end both the system of cash bail and the prison industrial complex that seeks to criminalize black, brown, and working class white people at every opportunity. #SayHerName

SIGNAL BOOST: Shoutout to the NYT for being the first major publication I’ve seen refer to Marshae Jones’s lost pregnancy as her fetus. Women are more than just incubators!

SIGNAL BOOST: Don’t just be alarmed. We can help Marshae Jones make bail by giving to the Yellow Hammer Fund, a reproductive justice organization in Alabama. “Losing a pregnancy should never be criminalized. Donate at paypal.me/yellowfund or yellowhammerfund.org with the note MARSHAE. #reprojustice #reproductivejustice”

Just two girls buried in a grave six feet apart

Theres this image floating around with regards to how “rich” Cuba was before “Castro made it poor.” But what these images nor their posters never tell you is the history of Cuba before the revolution.

image

Classrooms barely had enough enough money to maintain a sustainable environment for learning. It was so bad that children often lacked tables and chairs. In Cuba today, education is provided for free by the government.

image
image

The island infrastructure was beyond abysmal, especially in the more rural areas. People had to walk for miles on foot to get to a hospital. Many died before they even got there. Nowadays in Cuba, hospitals are built in all regions, and doctors are required to provide services to the mountainous and rural regions of the nations.

image
image

Not to mention abject poverty was at it’s highest during the Batista regime. Nowadays in Cuba, these shantytowns no longer exist. Housing, health, education, and labor are fundamental rights.

image
image

What about Cuba’s rich? Well, you’re bound to notice a distinct pattern between who were the wealthy and who were the servants. And it will give you a perception as to why so many Cuban exiles were mostly white Cubans, not Cubans of color.

Cuba before the revolution was a neo colony of the USA, it’s wealth was sucked from the nation to fill the pockets of American businesses, and turned Cuba into a segregated slaver nation that produced nothing but sugar cane for the Americans only, and which was managed by American and Cuban mafiosos and casino owners.

The Cuban Revolution brought justice to the impoverished and working peoples of Cuba. Their standard of living and access to necessities post-revolution is tremendously greater than that of the first world, even while facing crippling economic sanctions imposed by the USA for decades.

Anybody who promotes a Cuba before Fidel wants the nation to regress back into a segregated colony, a Caribbean Las Vegas ran by the Cuban and American mafia, and built by masses of slaves and the impoverished.

It’s like millennials do not understand that middle east has been at war for 1000′s of years. That we intervened on behalf of Kuwait. That without “bombing” people that want to kill and oppress others, millions will be murdered and tortured.

“at war for 1000′s of years”

you clearly know nothing about Afghanistan nor the middle east

here’s Afghanistan in the 1950′s, 60′s, & 70′s

if you really want to know what caused all the instability & growth of extremist groups I suggest you take a look at the US foreign policy towards Afghanistan during the 80′s

image

It’s interesting to note that when the communist government came to power in Afghanistan in the late 70′s, one of the first things they did was declare equality of the sexes, made education for girls mandatory, & banned child marriages. The conservative tribal leaders who the US armed & funded (& who later became the Taliban) declared this to be a “war on Islam” & fought against the central government.

The US had no problem back then with encouraging the growth of Islamic conservatism to counter socialism/communism. You created your biggest enemy & you have no one to blame but yourselves.

BLESS THIS POST

its crazy to me how the US talks about war in the middle east as if its this ancient problem inherent to the area instead of a recent problem created by western countries to further their own interests.

☕️☕️☕️

the CIA took out the democratically elected leader of Iran in the 1970s over oil and that set off an entire chain of events leading to ISIS, here’s more about multiple other countries we’ve fucked over

The United States: Fucking monsters.

America, 1953: The Iranian government is terrible, we should steal their oil liberate them.

America, 2019: The Iranian government is terrible, we should steal their oil liberate them.

America and its running dogs like Britain aren’t just indirectly responsible for Isis, they’re directly responsible for Isis:

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jun/03/us-isis-syria-iraq

On Monday the trial in London of a Swedish man, Bherlin Gildo, accused of terrorism in Syria, collapsed after it became clear British intelligence had been arming the same rebel groups the defendant was charged with supporting.

That didn’t only include the “non-lethal assistance” boasted of by the government (including body armour and military vehicles), but training, logistical support and the secret supply of “arms on a massive scale”. Reports were cited that MI6 had cooperated with the CIA on a “rat line” of arms transfers from Libyan stockpiles to the Syrian rebels in 2012 after the fall of the Gaddafi regime.

A revealing light on how we got here has now been shone by a recently declassified secret US intelligence report, written in August 2012, which uncannily predicts – and effectively welcomes – the prospect of a “Salafist principality” in eastern Syria and an al-Qaida-controlled Islamic state in Syria and Iraq. In stark contrast to western claims at the time, the Defense Intelligence Agency document identifies al-Qaida in Iraq (which became Isis) and fellow Salafists as the “major forces driving the insurgency in Syria” – and states that “western countries, the Gulf states and Turkey” were supporting the opposition’s efforts to take control of eastern Syria.

That’s not the only story worth reading about how America and its allies terrorized Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, etc.:

U.S. ARMY LOST TRACK OF $1 BILLION WORTH OF WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: REPORT

Listen, the United States doesn’t “lose” a billion dollars worth of anything.

I made 4,000 last year and the animals are after me for $255 (now just 105 thanks to y’all donating). You’d have to be politically illiterate or some kind of naive to think that penny-pinching misers as greedy and unscrupulous as the Americans are going to “lose” a billion dollars worth of weapons. They were arming Isis and needed to portray themselves as stupid as part of their stratagem.

Some more on the story:

ISIS claims to seize weapons cache in Iraq

Iraq Militants Brag: We’ve Got Robotic Weapons, Too

Again: you don’t just “pick up” a cache of advanced weaponry like artillery robots and tanks. This isn’t a video game where there was just a shiny spinning toolbox floating in mid-air in the desert that someone walked through to put a billion dollars worth of weapons in their inventory.

It takes operational and logistical sophistication to handle materiel like this. You have to know how to drive American tanks, you have to know how to transport, maintain, and operate machine guns and robots, and you have to know where they were “left behind”.

Moreover,  America must be Dresden’d.

Televangelist explains why his private jet is “biblical”

You can’t get close to God on commercial.

Prosperity gospel preacher and measles aficionado Kenneth Copeland is closing in on his first billion dollars made.

“If I flew commercial, I’d have to stop 65 percent of what I’m doing, that’s the main reason,” he said.

Copeland said he was a “very wealthy man” and acknowledged using the private jets to travel to his vacation homes. Guerrero asked how he would respond to those who say preachers shouldn’t live so luxuriously.

“They’re wrong,” he replied “It’s a misunderstanding of the Bible that … if you go into the old covenant, do you think the Jewish people believe you should be broke?”

Guerrero follows up: “Are you saying that Jewish people appreciate money more?”

“They believe in wealth,” Copeland said.
