Hell is a place where companies make bank off the aggrieved father of a dead child for the removal of the child’s organs for donation.
Oh and then, the recipient is charged hundreds of thousands of dollars for a DONATED ORGAN.
Not as in that this is just the cost of the procedure; but the hospital charges YOU $150k-800k for an organ they were given FOR FREE from a dead child whose parents have to pay to store and/or transport said organ which costs THEM $2k-30k.

I don’t know how you can look at this shit and not be radicalized

Person with housemates can study.
Person who has spent all their cash on rent and food still has a place to get out of the house and do something interesting.
Cool community classes and community art shows.
ESL tutoring.
Tax prep and forms.
tbh fuck anyone who says a single bad thing about libraries
Not content I normally reblog but libraries are super important and our world would be diminished without them.
The library was how I was able to read so many books as a kid that my parents wouldn’t have been able to afford.
Libraries are one of the only places on Earth that treats people the same no matter how much money you have. We can’t lose that.

Innocent Black Man Jailed After Facial Recognition Went Wrong: Lawyer -
Seriously, there needs to be a blanket ban on “Facial recognition” tech being used
Not only is it creepy Orwellian nonsense but any claims made by “Law and Order” types who support it that it “Helps law enforcement do their jobs” and “Keeps people safe” is patently nonsense because as we see here what it actually does is ENDANGER innocent people
Hestia the Greek Goddess of the Hearth and Home -
Hestia is the ancient Greek goddess of the hearth and home, and of hospitality so her responsibilities included presiding over the preparation of family meals, baking bread, and entertaining guests. As the goddess of the family hearth and also the communal sacrificial flame, part of every sacrifice made to the gods also went to her. To the Romans, she was known as Vesta.
Hestia was the goddess not just of the hearth of the gods on Olympus, but also for the hearths of private homes and the public hearth of towns and cities. In the homes of ancient Greece, the hearth could be a portable brazier and it symbolised the heart and soul of the household. Since Hestia was believed to preside over all of the hearths both private and public, she didn’t have many shrines or temples dedicated to her, but she did have a few cults in Attica at Piraeus, Eleusis, Halimos, and Krokonidai.
