This group of statues of ancient Egyptian pikemen was found in the tomb of Mesehti, a local governor of Asyut at the end of the First Intermediate Period and the beginning of the Middle Kingdom.
The group consists of forty soldiers arranged in ten lines. They are colored reddish brown, their strong tan indicating their continuous and elaborate open-air training. They have a tidy hair cut which covers their ears and a very short kilt to facilitate movement, and they carry lances and shields.
The artist varied the decorations on the shields to add interest and break up the monotony of the group, and also portrayed them with different facial features and heights to create liveliness. This further accentuated by the eyes which show their alertness and strength. while their representation in parallel lines and advancing their left legs creates a rhythm that imbues the group with still more animation.

I found a really good book that I think will help!
It’s really easy to follow and has a wide variety of plants:
You can basically find the plant listed that looks most like the plant you have, and go to the page listed under it. And it’ll say how to care for it!
Here’s an example ^ not only does it say what lighting and watering it needs like most books, but it also lists the different things that can go wrong with this plant and which make us think it’s dying. Like wilting being too much water, edges crisping being not enough misting, what sunburn on this plant looks like, etc.
A common mistake people make that kills plants is too much water or not enough water, it can be tricky until you get used to your plant’s needs! This explains watering techniques really well.
And a bunch of other stuff it shows you, like buying the best plant for your environment, repotting them, feeding them, all sorts of things!
Thank you for the tip! My current apartment is too dark and too hot if summer is hot (around 40C indoors last summer for 2,5 months straight, including night time). Tropical rain forest nights and days like in Egypt next to a North Pole, yay…..
Anyway! I keep this in mind for my next apartment :3

A warthog had just escaped the pack when the leading dogs came across the big cat. At first, the dogs were wary, but as the rest of the 12-strong pack arrived, their confidence grew, and they began to encircle the cat, chirping with excitement. The elderly cheetah hissed and lunged back at the mob, his left ear tattered, the right one pinned back in the ruckus. As dust flew in the morning light, Peter kept his focus on the cat’s face.
