Funeral Bed of Osiris
Osiris on his funeral bed inscribed with the name of king Djedkheperew. The sculpture was tentatively attributed to another 13th Dynasty king, Khendjer, but examinations of the inscriptions proved that it originally bore the name of Djedkheperew.

On this day, 23 March 1918, a trial of 101 Wobblies (members of the radical Industrial Workers of the World union) began in Chicago. They were charged with violating the espionage act for their opposition to World War I. It was part of a concerted effort by the state to break the union.
