I have no reason to believe either way that Epstein was murdered but I would like to use this moment to draw attention to the thousands of people who die in custody (i.e. murdered by the state) in county jails and prisons.
horses are inherently funny because they come in so many sizes. like draft horses
this looks so fake. this horses skull is bigger than the dudes entire torso. this horses NECK is thicker than the dudes entire BODY.
and then at the opposite end of the spectrum you have shit like this shetland pony which ALSO looks fake
what the hell happened to this thing who bred this line of ponies to be so ridiculous
fun fact, while most mini horses and ponies look fat, like the shetland above, some are genuinely just scaled down versions of regular horses
you look at this and think “wow that’s a horse i bet I could ride that” but you’d be wrong because this is an american shetty and it’s the size of a large dog
also fun fact, this is the world’s smallest horse, thumbelina
and this is the largest horse ever, brooklyn supreme
Up now on my eBay! Rare 1970′s anime production cel from Toei animation! This cel is from either Starzinger or Captain Future, it has been hard to identify! Also up for grabs: my superheroine comic collection (70’s-80’s stuff), random Radio Comix books and various indie comics! My house is super small, and I am still selling off thirty years’ worth of collectibles to raise money for ongoing back taxes & various upcoming large expenses, so every little bit helps. Thanks for looking & sharing!
On this day, 23 November 1887, the Thibodaux massacre occured. Black Louisiana sugarcane workers, in cooperation with the racially integrated Knights of Labor, had gone on strike at the beginning of the month over their meagre pay issued in scrip (not cash). The scrip was redeemable only at the company store where excessive prices were charged. When the first freeze of the season arrived and damaged the crop, the plantation owners were angered. After 2 white strike breakers were shot and injured, The Louisiana Militia, aided by bands of “prominent citizens,” shot and killed at least 50 unarmed Black sugar workers striking to gain a dollar-per-day wage, and lynched two strike leaders in what became known as the Thibodaux massacre.
